Two hours after my former post about the availability of the Bolivar Super Coronas – Edición Limitada 2014, I got the information they have arrived in the La Casa del Habano of Samuel Menzi in my hometown Zurich. I couldn’t resist to go immediately there to buy four boxes of this brand new cigar. The boxcode is EML JUL 14. The cigar has a ring-size of 48 and the lenght of 140mm. With this it is the type of a Hermosos No. 3. The used tobacco for this cigar comes from the Vuelto Abajo and has been aged for two years. It comes in wooden boxex of 25 cigars, for a retail-price of CHF 470.-.
During writing this post I smoke one of these cigars. As a kind of pre-review: The taste is like a classical Bolivar a strong and bittersweet symphony – very very good! The detailed review will follow soon.

Zwei Stunden nach meinem vorherigen Artikel, über die Verfügbarkeit der Bolivar Super Coronas – Edición Limitada 2014, bekam ich die Information, dass diese in der La Casa del Habano von Samuel Menzi, in meiner Heimatstadt Zürich, angekommen sind. Ich konnte nicht widerstehen sofort dorthin zu gehen und mir vier Kisten dieser brandneuen Zigarre zu kaufen. Der Box-Code ist EML JUL 14. Die Zigarre hat eine Ringgrösse von 48 und eine Länge von 140mm. Damit entspricht sie dem Typ Hermosos No. 3. Die verwendeten Tabake stammen aus dem Vuelto Abajo und sind für mindestens zwei Jahre gereift. Die Zigarre wird in Holz-Kisten à 25 Stück, zu einem Preis von CHF 470.- verkauft.
Während ich diesen Artikel schreibe rauche ich eine dieser Zigarren. Als eine Art von Vor-Verkostung: Der Geschmack ist der einer klassischen Bolivar, eine starke bittersüsse Symphonie – sehr sehr gut! Die detaillierte Verkostung wird bald folgen.
