I was really wondering about the high price, for the last year released Cohiba Robustos Supremos Edición Limitada 2014, for Switzerland. Here we have an official retail-price of CHF 51.- for one cigar. In our neighbour-country Germany it’s sold for € 35.- per single cigar. With this price it’s interesting to import this cigar – especially when the € is very low against the CHF.

Below is a short calculation for the import price:

– retail price of  a box with ten cigars € 350.-
– minus VAT of 19%, box price € 294.-
– (delivery is free for orders above € 250.-)
– change of currency (1 € – 1.21 CHF), cigar price CHF 355.75
– plus Swiss VAT 8%, box price of CHF 384.20
– plus customs tax, box price of CHF 395.-

With this calculation we have a price difference of CHF 115.- for a box of 10 cigars. This is a difference of approx. 22%.

If you buy at Cigarworld, the cigars are from the original German distributor 5th Avenue. In this case quality and original goods are no problem.

Hier haben wir einen offiziellen Wiederverkausfpreis von CHF 51.- pro Zigarre. In unserem Nachbarland Deutschland wird diese für nur € 35 .- pro einzelne Zigarre verkauft. Mit diesem Preis ist es interessant diese Zigarre zu importieren, speziell wenn der € viel tiefer zum CHF steht.

Anbei eine kurze Kalkulation für einen Import-Preis:

– Wiederverkaufspreis für eine Kiste von zehn Zigarren € 350.-
– minus MwSt von 19% Kistenpreis € 294.-
– (Versand ist frei für Bestellungen über € 250.-)
– Wechselkurs 1 € – 1.21 CHF), Kistenpreis CHF 355.75
– plus Schweizer MwSt. 8%, Kistenpreis CHF 384.20
– plus Zollgebühren, Kistenpreis CHF 395.-

Mit dieser Kalkulation erhalten wir eine Differenz von CHF 115.- für eine Kiste mit zehn Zigarren. Dies ist eine Differenz von ungefähr 22%.

Bei einem Einkauf bei Cigarworld kommen die Zigarren vom original Distributor für Deutschland, 5th Avenue. In diesem Fall ist die Qualität und Original-Ware kein Problem.
