As I was absorbed with doing business, I could not publish the release of the Montecristo Media Corona last week. But I had the possibility to somoke some of them and submit finaly a review.
The Montecristo Media Corona has near the same size as the H.Upmann Half Corona. It’s dimensions are: Lenght 8.9 cm, ring 44.
My received boxes, from the first batch, have the boxcode AUM ABR15. A box of 25 cigars is priced with 165.– CHF.

Da ich letzte Woche durch Geschäfte absorbiert war, konnte ich die Markteinführung der Montecristo Media Corona nicht publizieren. Aber ich hatte die Möglichkeit einige zu rauchen und letztendlich einen Bericht darüber zu veröffentlichen.
Die Montecristo Media Corona hat nahezu dieselbe Grüösse wie die H. Upmann Half Corona. Ihre Abmessungen sind: Länge 8.9cm, Ring 44.

The cigar has a dark brown wrapper. The draw resistance varies from perfect to strong. The cold draw shows ammonia, dried figs and woods.

Die Zigarre hat ein dunkelbraunes Deckblatt. Der Zugwiderstand viriiert von perfekt bis streng. Der Kaltzug zeigt Aromen von Ammoniak, getrockneten Feigen und Hölzern.

The first puff has a nice caramel sweetnes.

Der erste Zug hat eine schöne caramelige Süsse.

The first third shows the aromas sweetnes, bread crust and sandalwood. It has a strong flavour, a little bit adstingent.

Das erste Drittel zeigt Aromen wie Süsse, Brotkruste und Süssholz. Sie ist stark im Geschmack, ein klein wenig adstringierend.

The second third turns to more strenght, dark bread crust, woods, more bitter, the sandalwood turns away, white pepper is noticable, the burning gets a little bit inconstant.

Das zweite Drittel dreht zu mehr Strenge, dunkle Brotkruste, Hölzer, bitterer, das Süssholzaroma verschwindet, weisser Pfeffer ist wahrnehmbar, der Abbrand ist etwas unregelmässig.

The last third gets more powerfull, it’s a little bit burning on the lips, woods are dominating now. The inconstant burning has to be corrected with the lighter.

Das letzte Drittel wird kräftiger, sie brennt etwas an den Lippen, nun dominieren Hölzer. Der unregelmässige Abbrand musste mit dem Feuerzeug korrigiert werden.

The cigar is from very good quality. The ashes is compact. It’s a nice thirty minutes smoke. If you want a stronger cigar with near the same size as the H. Upmann Half Corona, this is the right cigar for you.

Die Zigarre ist von sehr guter Qualität. Die Asche ist kompakt. Es ist ein hübscher dreissig Minuten Rauschspass. Für jemanden, der eine kräftigere, aber etwa gleich grosse Zigarre wie die H. Upmann Half Corona sucht, dies ist die richtige Zigarre für ihn.
