As the Swiss currency CHF is out of balance to some other currencies, mainly the €uro, it’s very interesting to look at cigar prices outside the Swiss border. As I wrote earlier there could be very high differences between the prices.
Since some time the retailer Urs Portmann has a Summer Sale with very interesting prices. Some cigars are cheaper with this, as in Germany. My favourites of this summer sale are the H. Upmann Half Corona, CHF 95.– (normal price CHF 130.–) and the Cohiba Pirámides Extra CHF 280.– (normal price CHF 378.–). With buying 50 cigars a -10% discount geting applied. This gives especially for the H. Upmann an unbeatable price with CHF 88.50 vs. 104.28 € (107.50 – 3% Box-Discount) in Germany. I couldn’t resist to buy some boxes.

Upmann einen unschlagbaren Preis von CHF 88.50 vs. 104.28 € (107.50 – 3% Kisten-Rabatt) in Deutschland. Da konnte ich nicht widerstehen und musste ein paar Kistchen kaufen.
