The humidor contains 50 Maravillas No1 cigars, 55 ring gauge x 182 mm in length.

I have created a ‘virtual humidor’ on Cigar Keep. Unfortunately, it is not possible to register all my cigars there. It is not possible to register jar’s, special humidors, special editions or even older cigar formats such as Partagas Charlottes.
Nevertheless, I think the virtual humidor is great. It’s a simple way to swap treasures with other aficionados.

Ich habe einen ‘virtuellen Humidor’ auf Cigar Keep erstellt. Es ist aber leider nicht möglich alle meine Zigarren dort zu registrieren. Es fehlt die Möglichkeit, Jar’s, Sonderhumidore, Sondereditionen, oder auch ältere Zigarrenformate wie z.B Partagas Charlottes zu registrieren.
Trotzdem finde ich den virtuellen Humidor Klasse. Auf einfache Weise kann man mit anderen Aficionados Schätze tauschen.

The H. Upmann – Supremos No. 2 – Réplica Humidor Antiguo 2014 is my newest addition. I bought it 10 days ago, from the La Casa del Habano Zurich. One more will follow next week. 450 pieces were produced worldwide, 100 pieces more than the years before. Nevertheless, with 100 pieces produced more as before, it’s very hard to get one. From the last Réplica Humidor Antiguo 2013 it was no problem to allocate eight pieces, this year it looks like two is the limit. Could it be there are more and more cigar collectors worldwide and special releases like this get absorbed in the market very fast? I don’t know.

My Humidor has the serialnumber 052/450. The prodction-code is LUB JUL15. The offical retailprice in Switzerland is CHF 3’550.–.
The H. Upmann – Supremos No. 2 – Réplica Humidor Antiguo 2014 is containing 50 cigars of the vitola Supremos No.2. The dimension of the cigar is ring 55, lenght 125mm. This cigar is also known as Butifarra or “Flying Pig” and can be seen in a British catalog from 1935.

Der H. Upmann – Supremos No. 2 – Réplica Humidor Antiguo 2014 ist mein neuster Zugang. Ich kaufte ihn vor 10 Tagen in der La Casa del Habano Zürich. Ein weiterer wird nächste Woche folgen. 450 Stück wurden weltweit produziert, 100 Stück mehr als die Jahre davor. Nichtsdestotrotz, mit 100 Stück mehr produzierten, es ist sehr schwer ihn zu bekommen. Vom letzten Réplica Humidor Antiguo 2013 war es kein Problem an acht Stück zu kommen, dieses Jahr scheint bei zwei Stück zu bleiben. Könnte es sein, dass es weltweit mehr und mehr Zigarrensammler gibt und Spezialveröffentlichungen sehr schnell vom Markt absorbiert werden? Ich weiss es nicht.

Mein Humidor hat die Serienummer 052/450. Der Produktionscode ist LUB JUL15. Der offizielle Wiederverkaufspreis in der Schweiz ist CHF 3’550.–.

It’s quite a while since I had noticed a crack in my Ramón Allones Perfectos humidor, bought in December 2014. I got an exchange for it, three weeks ago. Unfortunately the new humidor has the same problem now. After two and a half weeks in my office, it has more cracks as the first humidor.
I have decided to bring it back and take the money. It hurts: This humidor is really a beautiful masterpiece. But it looks like it can only exists in a walk in humidor and it’s not built to be in an office- or living-room-environment.

Es ist eine Weile her, seit ich einen Riss in meinem Ramón Allones Perfectos humidor, gekauft im Dezember 2014, entdeckt habe. Für diesen hatte ich einen Ersatz vor drei Wochen bekommen. Unglücklicherweise hat der neue nun das selbe Problem. Nach zweieinhalb Wochen in meinem Büro hat er mehr Risse als der erste Humidor.
Ich habe mich entschieden ihn zurück zu bringen und das Geld zu nehmen. Das schmerzt: Dieser Humidor ist wirklich ein schönes Meisterwerk. Aber es schaut danach aus, dass er nur in einem begehbaren Humidor existieren kann. Er ist nicht dafür gemacht in einer Büro- oder Wohnraum-Umgebung zu existieren.

Once in the morning in my office I was really shocked. As I moved to my beautyful Ramón Allones – Perfectos – Edición Regional Suiza 2014 – humidor, to take one cigar. I noticed a small line in the surface of the ornaments. As I took a closer look, I noticed the line was a crack of approx. three cm in length.
How could this happen? It must be the change of humidity and temperature. Normaly special humidors, which containing cigars, are stored in a walk in humidor, or humidity and temperature controlled room. If the humidor gets placed in a non controlled environment, there is allways a tension between different woods. The humidor is built from 70 years old wood, but the ornaments are on a small layer of different wood. The only thing I just wondering: My office is humidity and temperature controlled.
The good thing: I could change the humidor last Friday at the La Casa del Habano, Zurich. I hope the problem doesn’t arise a second time.

Eines morgens war ich in meinem Büro wirklich geschockt. Als ich zu meinem hübschen Ramón Allones – Perfectos – Edición Regional Suiza 2014 Humidor ging, um eine Zigarre zu entnehmen. Ich bemerkte eine dünne Linie auf der Oberfläche der Ornamente. Als ich diese näher betrachtete, bemerkte ich, dass diese ein Riss von ca. drei cm Länge war.
Wie konnte das geschehen? Es muss die Änderung der Luftfeuchtigkeit und Temperatur sein. Normalerweise werden speizielle Humidore, welche Zigarren enthalten, in einem feuchtigkeits- und temperaturkontrollierten Raum gelagert. Wenn der Humidor in einen nicht kontrollierte Umgebung platziert wird, gibt es immer eine Spannung zwischen verschiedenen Hölzern. Der Humidor ist aus 70-jährigem Holz gefertigt, aber die Ornamente sind auf einer dünnen Schicht eines anderen Holzes. Das einzige was ich mich wundere: Mein Büro ist feuchtigkeits- und temperaturkontrolliert.
Das gute ist: Letzten Freitag konnte ich ihn gegen einen neuen, in der La Casa del Habano, Zürich, austauschen. Ich hoffe das Problem taucht nicht ein zweites mal auf.

A new humidor, Ramón Allones – Perfectos – Edición Regional Suiza 2014, expanded my collection today. I got number 50 of 100. The manufacturing is very high quality – it’s absolutely perfect Cuban craftmanship. It was produced in Cuba from Humidores Habana, with 70 year old wood. The design of the humidor is like a Ramon Allones band of the old style. The humidor contains 50 cigars Ramón Allones – Perfectos – Edición Regional Suiza 2014.
For the perfect humidification, the humidor it equiped with an Adorini Cigar Heaven 2.

Heute erweitert ein neuer Humidor, Ramón Allones – Perfectos – Edición Regional Suiza 2014, meine Sammlung. Ich bekam die Nummer 50 von 100. Die Fertigung ist von sehr hoher Qualität – es ist absolut perfektes kubanisches Handwerk. Er wurde in Kuba von Humidores Habana, aus 70-jährigem Holz gefertigt. Das Design ist in Form einer Ramon Allones Anilla im alten Stil umgesetzt. Der Humidor enthält 50 Zigarren Ramón Allones – Perfectos – Edición Regional Suiza 2014.
Für die perfekte Befeuchtung wurde der Humidor mit einem Adorini Cigar Heaven 2 ausgerüstet.

After searching for over two years, today I got the last piece to complete my Réplica de Humidor Antiguo series. It’s the Partagas Sobresalientes Réplica de Humidor Antiguo. 200 humidors were produced in 2007. This humidor was the start of a special humidor line. Each year Habanos S.A. releases a Réplica de Humidor Antiguo of a different brand, with a specially produced cigar in it. The humidors are exclusively for the La Casa Del Habano stores.
I had luck to know Hannes Weiss, a famous cigar collector and aficionado. He had two of them and was interested to change one against another one he don’t owned.

Nach über zwei Jahr Suche, bekam ich heute das letzte Teil um meine Réplica de Humidor Antiguo Serie zu komplettieren. Es ist der Partagas Sobresalientes Réplica de Humidor Antiguo. 200 Humidore wurden im Jahr 2007 produziert. Dieser Humidor war der Start einer speziellen Humidor Linie. Jedes Jahr veröffentlicht die Habanos S.A. einen Réplica de Humidor Antiguo einer anderen Marke, mit einer speziell gefertigten Zigarre darin. Die Humidore werden exklusiv über die La Casa Del Habano Geschäfte vertrieben.
Ich hatte Glück, Hannes Weiss, ein versierter Zigarrensammler und Aficionado, zu kennen. Er hatte zwei davon und war interessiert einen gegen einen, welchen er nicht besass, zu tauschen.

Trinidad Farmhouse Humidor

Today I got a Trinidad Farmhouse humidor. It contains 20 cigars. 10 of them are Double Robustos (ring 50, lenght 192mm) and 10 of them are Fundadores (ring 40, lenght 192mm). I don’t know exactly from which year it is. The first release was in 2002, but there were some more releases until 2003.
The humidor was found by a good friend of mine – Wil. He is the master in how to find rare things. Thanks for finding this Wil!

Heute habe ich einen Trinidad Farmhouse Humidor bekommen. Er enthält 20 Zigarren. 10 Formate Double Robustos (Ringmass 50, Länge 192mm) und 10 von ihnen sind Fundadores (Ringmass 40, Länge 192mm). Ich weiss nicht genau, von welchem Jahr dieser Humidor ist. Die erste Ausgabe war im Jahr 2002, doch danach wurden noch weitere Releases im Jahr 2003 veröffentlicht.
Der Humidor wurde von einem guten Freund gefunden – Wil. Er ist der Meister, wenn es darum geht, seltene Dinge zu finden. Danke für den Fund, Wil!

Yesterday I got my 2nd Montecristo Réplica de Humidor Antiguo. It was released in 2009 for the La Casa del Habanos. They produced 350 worldwide. The humidor contains 50 cigars of the size Double Corona. Size: Ring 49, lenght 194mm.
The humidor is a replica of an ancient humidor, dated at April 25, 1948. It’s made by hand, with the same Cuban precisious types of wood, true to its original design, although with some necessary changes in the dimensions of the drawers that contains 50 Double Coronas. In addition, a humidification system was added up, a device that did not exist back at the time.

Gestern bekam ich meinen zweiten Montecristo Réplica de Humidor Antiguo. Dieser wurde für die La Casa del Habano, im Jahr 2009, auf den Markt gebracht. Weltweit wurden nur 350 Stück gefertigt. Der Humidor enthält 50 Zigarren im Format Double Corona. Dimensionen: Ring 49, Länge 194mm.
Der Humidor ist ein Replikat eines antiken Humidors, datiert vom 25. April 1948. Er ist von Hand gefertigt, mit denselben kubanischen Hölzern, exakt wie das Original, wenngleich mit einigen erforderlichen Änderungen in der Abmessung der Schubladen, die 50 Double Coronas enthalten. Zusätzlich wurde ein Befeuchtungssystem hinzugefügt, das zu dieser Zeit noch nicht existierte.
