This cigar is very well made and a real pleasure. A perfect draw and a wonderful flavor profile. Halfway through I started to feel the nicotine. Oh – it has a very large amount of it and surprisingly despite its age of almost 16 years! I have rarely experienced that. I was wide awake well into the morning. So for me personally, this cigar is more of a daytime or afternoon cigar, or just before a night shift. Its large nicotine load leads to a wide awake state with a razor-sharp mind – but always pleasant.

Cold draw: Hay, gingerbread, cinnamon, perfect draw
Smoke flavor: Full body, perfect draw, some white pepper which increases steadily during smoking, and a fine sweetness of honey on top.

Diese Zigarre ist sehr gut gemacht und eine wahre Freude. Ein perfekter Zug und ein wunderbares Aromaprofil. Nach der Hälfte habe ich angefangen das Nikotin zu spühren. Oh – sie hat eine sehr grosse Menge davon und das erstaunlicherweise trotz ihres Alters von fast 16 Jahren! Das habe ich selten erlebt. Ich war bis in den Morgen hinein hellwach. Darum ist diese Zigarre für mich persönlich eher eine Tages- oder früher Nachmittag-Zigarre, oder kurz vor einer Nachtschicht. Ihre grosse Nikotinfracht führt zu einem hellwachen Zustand mit messerscharfem Verstand – doch immer angenehm.

Rauch-Aroma: Voller Körper, perfekter Zug, etwas weisser pfeffer der während des Rauchens, welches stetig zunimmt, sowie eine feine Süsse von Honig obendrauf.

After the 16th of February 2015 I have not posted any news. I was near three weeks in Cuba and experienced a lot, turned back at home yesterday. I will write more about some experiences during the next two weeks.
For all of those, who are wondering how many cigars I bought: I’ts near a 95 litres suitcase full of cigars. I huge part of it are French Edicion Regional, bought at the airport CDG in Paris, the other part is directly from Cuba. There are some Añejados from Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta, Bolivar EL 2014 Super Coronas, gifts from the Fextival Habano like two sets of Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchills Gran Reserva Cosecha 2009 and Montecristo 80 Aniversario.

Nach dem 15. Februar 2015 habe ich keine Neuigkeiten mehr gepostet. I war fast drei Wochen in Kuba und habe eine Menge erlebt, seit gestern bin ich nach Hause zurückgekehrt. Ich werde mehr über einige Erlebnisse in den nächsten zwei Wochen schreiben.
Für all diejenigen welche es Wunder nimmt wie viele Zigarren ich gekauft habe: Es ist fast ein 95 Liter Koffer voller Zigarren. Ein grosser Teil sind französische Edicion Regional, gekauft im Flughafen CDG Paris, der andere Teil ist aus Kuba. Darunter befinden sich einige Añejados von Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta, Bolivar EL 2014 Super Coronas, Geschenke vom Fextival Habano, wie zwei Sets von Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchills Gran Reserva Cosecha 2009 und Montecristo 80 Aniversario.

A long awaited delivery has hit my office today:

– 1x Bolivar Gran Belicoso Colección Habanos Series 2010, POL JUN10
– 1x Bolivar Churchills Tubos, OSU MAR01
– 3x Partágas Série du Connaisseur No. 2, LSM MAY08

One of the Partágas SdC No. 2 I smoked immediately – it’s really an incredible good cigar, very complex, a fantastic sweetnes and full bodied with a complex multilayered flavour. A reference point in cigar – just great – incredible! I’m lucky to have 74 sticks more for me and my friends.

Eine lange erwartete Lieferung kam heute in meinem Büro an:

Eine der Partágas SdC No. 2 habe ich sofort geraucht – es ist wirklich eine unglaublich gute Zigarre, sehr komplex, eine fantastische Süsse und ein voller Körper mit mit komplexem, mehrschichtigen Aroma. Ein Referenz-Punkt von einer Zigarre – einfach grossartig – unglaublich. Ich bin glücklich 74 davon, für mich und meine Freunde zu haben.

As I have learned from my sources, the second Edición Limitada for the year 2014 will be released soon. It’s the Bolivar Super Coronas. The size is: ring 48, lenght 140mm. It’s packed in wooden boxes of twentyfive, with a price of CHF 470.-.
The release is this week for the two La Casa del Habano and next week for the other cigar stores in Switzerland. Pictures and a review will follow soon.

Wie ich aus meinen Quellen erfahren habe, soll die zweite Edición Limitada für das Jahr 2014 bald erscheinen. Es ist die Bolivar Super Coronas. Die Dimensionen: Ringmass 48, Länge 140mm. Die Verpackungseinheit ist 25 Stück in einer Holzkiste zu einem Preis von CHF 470.-.
Das Erscheinungsdatum ist diese Woche für die zwei La Casa del Habano und nächste Woche für den Fachhandel in der Schweiz. Bilder und ein Verkostungs-Bericht werden bald folgen.
